Registration is complete, and we're happy to announce that we will have SIX teams per age level. Wow! Thank you for your interest in growing youth volleyball in Brookings.
Registered families will receive more information via email as the season approaches. We will also hold an open house/drop-in information session for parents during the first scheduled practice times on Saturday, Sept. 7: 5th and 6th grades from 9:00-10:15 am and 3rd and 4th grades from 10:30-11:45 am.
Weekday practices will begin the following week. A coach will be present to supervise 4th and 5th graders immediately after school. 3rd and 6th graders can be dropped off by parents, walk from the middle school, or utilize school district busing from their school. Practice will begin when all players arrive.
Brookings Youth Volleyball Club is a community-based, non-profit organization established to serve girls in the Brookings community by developing fundamental volleyball skills and preparing them to be successful as they compete in the future.
As high school coaches, we saw the need for a strong youth program, and we started BYVB with the goal of giving girls the opportunity to experience team volleyball and build fundamental skills at a young age. We want players to develop confidence in their abilities, and we want future Bobcat teams to experience success. Join us in the fall of 2019 for the first season of youth volleyball in Brookings! Registration open now.
